Reporting Line: Manager: Legal Affairs
Purpose: To provide legal advice and conduct research on legal issues related to the mandate of the regulator. Additionally, to provide legal administrative support within the function.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent qualification at NQF Level 7
Five (5) years experience in the field of energy law, commercial law, compliance, or any other related field with experience in a regulated environment.
Admitted legal practitioner and registered with the Namibian Law Society.
A Valid Driver’s License (Code B).
Competencies:
- Knowledge and experience in corporate governance practices and company law as well as functioning of public enterprises.
- Knowledge of business practices in Namibia, commercial, labour, energy and/or administrative law.
- Knowledge of law and regulation as they affect the ECB/NERA.
- Communication skills; both oral and written.
- Research and Report writing skills.
